Newsletter December 2011

Sue and I want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year. There is so much that the Lord has lined up for us, and we are excited and in anticipation of all that He has planned.

We have had a wonderful 2011. In Feb/Mar Sue and I got to spend a month in Alaska with our son Ben and his wife Adriel and their two boys, Philip and Timmy. What a great time we had. In May our youngest daughter, Vicky was married to Sean McFee who we are so glad to have as part of our family, and they only live nine miles away. We held the wedding on our property, and it was so good to have the whole family together for that. Our four children had not been altogether in one place since Shelly and Shawn were married, and Adriel was not able to attend that wedding. And of course, now there are five grand children.

In August Sue was back in Alaska to look after Philip and Timmy for another month. In October Sue and I were in England speaking at my Brother Bob’s annual conference, to contact their church, you may go to www.gatechurch.org – we were so blessed to share the meetings with Eli and Marti Miller, and so enjoyed the time that we were able to spend with them. During our time in England as we ministered with Eli and Marti, we saw the Lord move in wonderful ways, delivering some and healing others. Eli and Marti’s web site is www.destinyencounters.org

Less than a week after returning from England, we flew to Las Vegas to attend a conference at Dunamis Apostolic Resource Center, www.dunamisarc.org where Dennis Walker, Johnny Enlow, Wendell McGowan and Ray Hughes were the speakers. The title of the conference was Shift Happens, and I certainly believe that a shift took place in our lives. It was so good being a part of such powerful worship, and hearing such good preaching. During that time the Lord spoke to us through some of the speakers as they ministered prophetically.

When Adam and Eve were given dominion and authority over everything that the Lord had created, they did not work in the garden by sweating with a spade or hoe, but they spoke things into being by their word. Since Jesus the Second Adam reversed the losses of the First Adam, He is expecting us to move into the things that Adam lost. Jesus modeled this for us when He healed the sick, He did not pray for the sick to be healed, rather He spoke to the situation, and saw it change. He did not tell us to pray for the sick, he told us to “heal the sick”. When the storm arose on the sea and the disciples cried out that they were about to drown, Jesus did not get up and say “Oh please Father, stop the waves”, no, He “rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace be still.” We have believed for a long time the scripture that says that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue”, but this truth applies to so many areas. We need to be a people who proclaim. I believe that in this coming year we are going to see the power of proclamation in a greater way than ever before. As we spend more time in the presence of the Lord, we shall go out in the power of the Lord speaking the word of the Lord.

May the Lord bless you richly this year as you go forth in His name. If you would like Sue and I to minister in your church, you may phone, email or write to our contact information.
